The Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater, founded as our intimate space for epic imagining, will live out its true mission to be a bold launching pad for new theatrical events. To engage and program tomorrow’s brightest and cutting-edge theater makers, we need time and space to roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty, and create new theater from the fertile abundance of artistic relationships we’re nurturing locally, nationally, and internationally.
A place to experiment is vitally important and the Audrey is about to buzz with numerous projects. Some will make their way to our main stage, others will live outside our walls, and others literally ON our walls, but all will be fresh, fearless, and exciting. In partnership with our neighbors and colleagues at UCLA, we will be inviting trailblazing artists and risk-taking audiences into our new play space with behind-the-scenes development and public programming all season long.
