Allen is delighted to be making his North American stage debut in Constellations. His previous theater work includes Ecstasy (Hampstead/West End) written and directed by Mike Leigh, Phaedra (Rough Magic), Everybody Loves Sylvia (Project Arts), Da (Abbey Theatre), The Morning After Optimism (Tom Murphy Festival/Abbey Theatre) and The Queen and Peacock (Red Kettle Theatre). Allen is best known for his work on the multi-award winning television show Downton Abbey (Carnival/NBC Universal), for which he won three SAG Awards as part of the Best Ensemble. Other television work includes Black Mirror (Channel 4), The Tudors (Showtime), Rome (HBO) and Bellevue (CBC). Film work includes In Fear (Big Talk), The Sweeney (Vertigo Films) and the Golden Globe and SAG Award nominated and Academy Award winning The Imitation Game (Black Bear Pictures). He holds a B.A. and Master’s Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College, Dublin. His favorite movie is Zootopia.
