Scenic Designer Sibyl Wickersheimer

Most recently, Sibyl designed BLKS directed by Nataki Garrett at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Elliot: A Soldier’s Fugue directed by Shishir Kurup at the Kirk Douglas Theatre and Julius Caesar directed by Shana Cooper at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Her regional set design credits also include productions at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Lookingglass Theatre Company, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Portland Playhouse, Berkeley Rep, Arizona Theatre Company, Geffen Playhouse and South Coast Repertory. Sibyl resides in Los Angeles, where she has designed for numerous local companies, including The Actor’s Gang, Bootleg Theatre, Circle X, LA Opera, and The Theatre @ Boston Court. Outside of traditional theater spaces, she has designed for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Program and Disney Cruise Line, and her art installations have been exhibited in galleries throughout Southern California. Sibyl is an Associate Professor at USC in the School of Dramatic Arts.
